About me

Clinical Psychologist (D.Clin.Psych, MA, BSc) | Meditation and Yoga Teacher (RYT 200hrs) | Trained Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher

Hello, my name is Natalie and I am a clinical psychologist and a certified yoga and mindful self-compassion teacher. I have worked in various mental health settings over the last ten years and have supported many clients in understanding and overcoming their unique struggles and difficulties. I currently specialize in helping people with eating and body image difficulties, including primary eating disorders, such as anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder, to find a peaceful and sustainable relationship with their mind, body, food, and identity. This work is something that I am truly passionate about.

It is important to me that you know that a full recovery from an eating disorder is possible with the proper treatment, and by addressing the underlying issues that are maintaining your struggles with food and body image.

My Approach

My approach is holistic, collaborative and pro-active. I work carefully with my client's cultural background, with consideration of the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual factors that contribute to who they are and how they experience the world. I combine the latest evidence-based treatment with contemplative and embodied practices such as self-compassion and mindfulness.

How we will work together

We will develop a set of therapeutic goals that are guided by your values and what is important to you. We will work together to help you move towards them.

We will also develop a shared understanding of your difficulties and how you can overcome the obstacles (cycles of thoughts, feelings and behaviours) that are keeping you stuck.

Ultimately, my work is centred on helping you heal your relationship with food and body image so that you can reclaim your life, freedom and vitality.

Work with me

"The natural ups and downs of life can either generate personal growth or create personal fears. Which of these dominates is completely dependent upon how we view change. Change can be viewed as either exciting or frightening, but regardless of how we see it, we must all face the fact that change is the very nature of life."
- Michael Singer
