As a body-centred clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, and a teacher of embodied awareness, I offer supervision on ways to integrate innovative treatments to eating disorder recovery and other psychotherapeutic approaches that can complement and augment your work with your clients.
Supervision can be provided to individuals or in small group settings.
Some of my offerings include:
- How to integrate embodiment and somatic practices as an intervention at various points in an individual's recovery process.
- Ways to work with your own body and your client's body in the room.
- How to support and invite your client to make gentle contact with their own body/embodied experience using somatic practices in a way that will be well received.
- Understanding the language of the body and the nervous system (e.g. working from the perspective of Polyvagal Theory) so that you can begin working with your client's nervous system and treating it.
- How to integrate mindfulness and self-compassion-based interventions with your existing approach appropriately during the recovery process so that it can be received well by your clients.
